Profilbild Meike Iwanek

My name is Meike Iwanek. I’m a maths magician, IT specialist and bookworm.
My aim is to help you to understand maths and realise that it’s not nearly as hard as it always seems.

I’ve always loved maths, and I started tutoring when I was in year 10 (1993). First the child next door, then my best friend, and later my first school pupils came via word of mouth. During my studies at the Akademie für Datenverarbeitung [Academy of Data Processing] I gained more experience of tutoring with the “Schülerhilfe” and “Studienkreis” organisations. And after I started working full-time in 1999, I always continued tutoring 1-2 schoolchildren in maths. In February 2011, I took the plunge into self-employment, making maths tutoring my job and my calling.

In May 2014, to broaden my range of services, I began a distance-learning course to become a qualified dyscalulia trainer, which I successfully completed in 2015. I’ve offered Dyscalculia Training since the beginning of 2016.

Let’s figure out maths together, so that you also come to see that it can be fun.
